Signature Word Story Style is our proprietary format: dictionary-style definitions limited to exactly 17 words that transform ordinary words into emotionally resonant stories. When mugs are stacked together, the words create complete narratives. Each definition works as a standalone design but becomes even more meaningful when displayed with related mugs.
Can the mugs really stack together? Yes! Our stackable mug designs are created to be displayed together. Word stacks typically contain 2-4 words that form complete sentences, with each word getting its own 17-word definition. Stack them together to tell your complete story.

Can I create a completely custom Word Story Style definition? At this time, we offer our existing catalog of over 260 definitions across ten categories. We are selective about custom definitions to maintain the integrity of our Word Story Style brand. Contact us to discuss custom opportunities.
How do bundle discounts work? The more mugs you order, the more you save! Discounts are automatically applied at checkout when you add multiple mugs to your cart. Plus, orders over $100 ship free!
Why does production take 2-4 days? We operate on a print-on-demand model, which means each mug is created especially for you after you place your order. This allows us to offer hundreds of designs without maintaining large inventory, keeping costs lower for you.
When will my order ship? Production takes 2-4 business days, then your order ships via USPS Ground Advantage. You’ll receive a tracking number by email once your order ships.
How long until I receive my order? Total delivery time is typically 4-9 business days from order date (2-4 days production + 2-5 days USPS shipping).
Do you ship internationally? Currently we only ship within the United States.
Can I track my order? Yes! You’ll receive a tracking number via email once your order ships. Please allow 24 hours for tracking information to update in the USPS system.
How do I care for my Coffee & Words mug? Our ceramic mugs are dishwasher safe and microwave safe. For best longevity, we recommend hand washing. Avoid abrasive scrubbers that might damage the printed design over time.
Are the designs permanent? Yes, our mugs are printed with high-quality ceramic printing that is designed to last. With proper care, your Word Story Style definitions will remain vibrant through regular use.
Can I use my mug for hot and cold beverages? Absolutely! Our 14-ounce ceramic mugs work beautifully for hot coffee, tea, cold brew, iced beverages, and anything in between.
What if my mug arrives damaged? We will make it right! Contact us within 7 days of delivery at whatsbrewing@coffeeandwords.com with your order number and photos of the damage. We’ll send a replacement or provide a full refund.
Can I return a mug if I don’t like it? Because each mug is custom-printed for you, we cannot accept returns for change of mind. Please review product images and descriptions carefully before ordering. We do accept returns for damaged, defective, or incorrect items.

What inspired Coffee & Words? Coffee & Words was born from a New Year’s reflection on what brings Coffee & Words founder, Tracy McCormick-Dishman, the most joy: coffee and words. After moving to Northeast Florida three years ago to begin a healing journey, her exploration of local coffee culture near Amelia Island became the anchor of that transformation. She realized her morning coffee rituals were documenting her healing in real time. This business is essentially her memoir being written one mug at a time.
Who creates the Word Story Style definitions? All Word Story Style definitions are created by Tracy McCormick-Dishman, founder of Coffee & Words and the First Coast Editor of the Florida NewsLine family of newspapers. Each 17-word definition is carefully crafted to work both as a standalone design and as part of stackable word story collections.
